全国化工模型设计技术中心站（原化工部模型设计技术中心站）成立于1964年，是专门从事石化、化工、医药行业的工程模型设计、制作和应用技术研究的专业机构。中心站设有《全国化工模型设计专业技术委员会》，先后设计开发了国内独有的、可供化工类工程装置（车间）配管模型制作的标准系列元件。
四十年来，先后为国内外客户承接过数百部各类供工程设计、工程审查、工程施工、生产培训、总体规划、项目投标、厂区改造、展览介绍、商业销售等需要的各类化工模型。为国际知名的巴斯夫公司、鲁姆斯公司、罗氏公司、德希尼布公司、克瓦纳公司、鲁奇等公司提供了各类模型设计和制作，模型制作的服务方式和服务质量均赢得了各方的好评。

The National Technology Center of Model Design and Drawing Instrument (formerly under the administration of Chemical Ministry of China) was founded in 1964.It is an organization specialized in the design and fabrication of plastic models for petrochemical, chemical and pharmaceutical projects as well as in the research and development of engineering model application technology. The Technology Center has set up a technical committee and developed standardized plastic model elements which are unique in China and can be used for the making of piping model of chemical plant.
Over the past decades, the Technology Center has made more than several hundred chemical plant plastic models in the application of engineering design, project review, construction, operation training, overall planning, project bidding, plant renovation, exhibition and marketing etc. It provided model design and fabrication for such world-prestigious companies as BASF, ABB Lummus, Roche, Technip, Kvaerner and Lurgi etc. and was highly praised by customers for its quality service.
Backed by the strong technical resource from SINOPEC Shanghai Engineering Company Limited (SSEC),the Technology Center is able to integrate its model design and fabrication with the codes and standard applied to engineering design and project construction.
